Mat & More; New Pilates Sessions starting September!

I’m so excited to announce my brand new Pilates Mat & More sessions – launching this September on Tuesdays at 12:15pm & Thursdays at 11:00am

This is a semi-private group session with a maximum of 4 participants, giving you the individual attention and tailored feedback you need to truly progress.


Why "Mat & More"?

The mat is where Pilates began. It’s where Joseph Pilates pit his students “up against gravity,” using bodyweight to develop strength, control, and precision.

In a Mat & More session, you’ll experience the full Classical mat, enriched with carefully chosen small props from the Classical system – think magic circle, weights , semi-Barrels, spine corrector, or resistance bands and more! These props aren’t there to make things easier – they help you deepen your connection, feel the work more clearly, and move with greater freedom and efficiency.


Beginner-Friendly Launch

We’re kicking off these new sessions with a 5-week beginner course, making it the perfect time to join if you’re new to Pilates. You’ll learn the foundations of the Classical method, gain confidence in the exercises, and understand how to adapt and progress as your strength builds.


Why No Drop-In?

To get the most from Pilates, consistency is key. That’s why these sessions are booked in blocks of 5 classes rather than as drop-ins. This commitment gives you:

  • A reserved space every week in your chosen class time

  • Steady progression and visible results over the 5 weeks

  • A shared journey with the same small group, building camaraderie and support

Think of it as giving yourself the gift of showing up for your body, week after week.


Who is it for?

Mat & More is mixed ability and perfect if you want:

  • To get stronger and more connected through the Classical Pilates method

  • The feel of a private session but with the friendly energy of a small group

  • Progressive challenges to keep you moving forward

  • Personalised corrections and guidance that’s impossible in large classes

It’s not suitable for those with injuries or ongoing pathologies – we’ll work hard, but safely and mindfully.


What to Expect

In each session, we’ll:

  • Work through Classical mat exercises in a progressive, structured order

  • Use small Classical props to refine technique, target muscles, and enhance control

  • Offer progressions to challenge you when you’re ready, and modifications when you need them

  • Move in all planes to improve balance, flexibility, and overall functional strength.


Over time, you’ll notice that you need fewer modifications as your body gets stronger, more stable, and more confident.

💷 Investment: £90 for a 5-class pass (no drop-in)📝

New clients: We kick off with a 5 week beginner course, if you join after a 1:1 consultation is required to ensure the class is the right fit.
