Lisa-Marie Butler,
Founder of Breathe in Pilates & Peak Pilates Master Instructor
Drawing from her own experience of chronic pain, Lisa-Marie made it her mission to work with individuals seeking relief from pain and improved movement. Discovering a strong connection between mind & body, she aims to promote physical and mental well-being.
She has dedicated her time to continue to delve into the field of Pilates, biomechanics, and understanding pain, linking the powers of movement and the restorative methods of Sports & Swedish massage to aid in rehabilitation and recovery. This passion inspired her further to train and become a Master Instructor so that she could help like minded Pilates Lovers, turn their passion into a career they love.

With just four participants, you’ll receive the individual attention of a private lesson but share the energy and support of a small-group environment.

’ve been attending the weekly classes for a few years now. I have tried other Pilates classes but Lisa-Marie’s are the best. She gives clear precise instructions on how to move your body and constant reminders throughout the class on which muscles to engage. I have been able to transfer the practical elements of how to properly move and which muscles to engage into daily life, which helps manage my lower back problem.

Prior to joining Lisa-Marie’s classes I had experienced years of back pain. I had thought about doing pilates for some time, but decided to finally take the plunge and thank goodness I did! I attend weekly classes and practice as well at home and after just one term I have been able to start running again completely pain free. I have now completed my 20th session! Working with Lisa has been amazing. Pilates has been life changing for me & my body. I have Fibromyalgia, before I started my journey with Breathe in Pilates I was seeing a chiropractor every 4 weeks, I couldnt walk unaided at night due to being on my feet all day at work & relied heavily on medication for pain management. Over the last 7 months pilates has got me to the point where I am working towards coming off my pain medication and 80% of my daily pain has been reduced. Lisa has taught me alot about my mind & body connection. I now understand my body alot more & I am more aligned with it during my sessions and outside of Pilates.
